URGENT UPDATE ON “MoM2024”

Glories, I just received this update (below) from Anne Trufant. We are in need of heavy-duty trucks to haul our 3 Morning Glory RVs from Berryland Campers to western NC before Christmas. Do any of you know people who have the ability to help us with that? 💝🙏🏻

From Anne: “Ok, what a whirlwind day. As of today, we have 4 RVs, hoping to deliver all by Christmas in a perfect world. In order to get the first one to Lake Lure by Fri we got a benevolent deal from a transport company who'll arrive near Lake Lure Fri a.m. for an elderly lady whose time was up where she was staying as of Friday. Miracle. It all fell into place literally within minutes of a deadline I was given to be able to pull it off! We have 3 more that need to be brought up from Mike Fulmer’s place. We are working out the details for each one. If you know anybody who's dying to drive one up, let me know!! We hope this is only the beginning.

Tell your wonderful donors we are ever grateful and will take plenty of pictures. We're even able to provide necessities like sheets, towels, a little heater to help propane last longer, some goodies and staples and 3 mo rent at the RV park! So grateful. Please Jesus let this be just the beginning! Thank you for SO much support and love. Please tell everyone who has encircled us with every kind of support, especially prayer, please don't stop!! And know that we are praying for each one of you and all that's on each heart!”

A little money-saving trick

I love a bargain! So when I shop online, I usually check three “add ons” to see if I can get additional discount codes or cash back on the website: Rakuten, Retail-me-not, and Capital One. They are extensions that you can download to your computer or apps on your phone that you can check, and I’ve saved thousands of dollars over the years by using them.

HOWEVER, I recently discovered that Capital One will often send me an email after I visit a site that has a significantly larger discount than the one shown on the app or extension. A recent discount went from 3% cash back to 20%! That’s a big difference, and I was able to add it to items already on sale. If you want to try it out, use my link (I get a referral bonus) to add it to your web browser on your computer or phone: https://capitaloneshopping.com/r/7f8930a2-fd9b-4289-b0d1-18c395d771ec

Thank you, God, for the gift of Bosco. We are so sad—but also so grateful for the time we had with him. 💔🐾 (Woof!)

7 Lessons from Whitewater Rafting
(or How to Remain at Peace When You Are Afraid), by Kitty Cleveland

7 Life Lessons from Whitewater Rafting
(or How to Remain at Peace When You’re Afraid)

by Kitty Cleveland

Years ago I joined some friends in a thrilling whitewater rafting excursion down the frigid Snake River in Jackson Hole, WY. I had rafted down the Nantahala River in North Carolina many times in the past (once getting trapped under the raft), and I’d even rafted this river before in a large raft. But this time was different.

This time I ended up being assigned the front of a little two-person duckie with a wisp of a woman steering in back. Seriously, I easily had about six inches and 60 pounds on her. I hollered out to our fearless leader on the big, safe raft next to us, "Shouldn't I be in the back of this thing?" She assured me that my strength would be needed to power through the danger up ahead. That's when I started praying. Lesson 1: ALWAYS ACKNOWLEDGE GOD FIRST.
